Maths for Apprentices QQI Level 4

The Maths for Trades QQI Level 4 course is free and runs for 12 weeks, 6 hours a week and is designed for learners who:

• Are interested in an apprenticeship but do not have the Maths qualification they need for an employer
• Have started an apprenticeship but need help with the Maths at Phases 1 or 2 

 The course is certified under Functional Mathematics QQI Level 4 which is the equivalent of an ordinary level Leaving Certificate subject. You will complete one assignment and one exam. You must attend both classes each week.

• Using a scientific calculator
• Finding the area, volume and capacity of everyday shapes
• Measurements
• Calculate materials needed to do a job
• Use common formulas
• Fractions, ratios and decimals
