This course is for you if:

- You are returning to education after a long time You have completed Junior Cert or a relevant QQI level 4 module You have a high standard of English (e.g. Intermediate-B2)

- Division of society into different social strata i.e. by class, gender and race/ethnicity
- Social issues such as inequality, racism and discrimination,
- Agents of socialisation e.g. family, peer group, education, media, religion
- Poverty, power inequality, social mobility
- History and culture of Travellers Study Skills, including taking notes, completing assignments, researching
