Dyslexia support for parents. Help your child with reading and spelling, could it be dyslexia?

Course 1:

4-Week Course for Parents of children in 1^st to 6^th Class

If your child is in Primary school and you have concerns they might have dyslexia or they are having difficulty with reading and spelling, this 4-week course would be of benefit to you. It gives parents/carers some practical strategies to help their child with reading and spelling.The course also helps parents/carers in understanding what supports are available to the child at primary school.  The course has been very successful in the past, here is feedback from some parents who completed the course:

 Course 1:

3- week Introduction to Phonics course for Parents of Junior and Senior Infants.

• Introduction to the 44 sounds of English and learn how these sounds are represented in print.
• Practice using these sounds, blending them together for reading and segmenting them for spelling.
• Tips for dealing with “Tricky Words” lists.
