    Did you leave school before you did any exams?

You can do a single subject at Junior Cert or Leaving Cert level. You can do as many as you like, although most people only do one subject at a time

Classical Studies

Junior Cert Tues 11.30am-1.30pm

Leaving Cert Mon and Thurs: 2pm-4pm

Do you want to know about and understand the history, myths and legends of ancient Greece and Rome? How did the Greeks and Romans live, fight and die? Who was Julius Caesar? What was in Troy? Why is the Acropolis in Athens such a big deal? What did Socrates teach us?

Alexander the great: The personal life, wars and battles of Alexander the Great, the amazing leader of one of the greatest empires of the ancient world.
Examine the achievements of the Romans in their art and architecture and their connection to the buildings all around us in Dublin.

English Leaving Cert

Learn to enjoy English and the fun of reading and writing. Open yourself up to books, films, poetry and drama. Challenge yourself with an exam. You will love it.

If you are thinking of further education or going to college,

Leaving Cert English will help you prepare for the assignments, essays and reports. If you are out of practice, with writing, this course will help you brush up.

Environmental and Social Studies Junior Cert

Develop your thinking and analytical skills.

Discuss current affairs and what is happening in the world.

Learn about Ancient Greece, Viking Ireland, Urbanisation, the Industrial Revolution Globalisation, Migration and lots more.

History Junior Cert

(Joan Foley) Tues 9.30-11.30pm

Are you curious about the world? Do you want to understand why we are where we are? In order to understand what is going on in the world today, we need to understand the past.

*There is a book you have to rent to go with this course.
