What is the CDETB Adult Education Service?
The CDETB Adult Education Service provides part time adult education for adults aged 18 and over.
People come to our service voluntarily.
Doing our classes will not affect your payments from social welfare.
You can take part in classes from 2 to 15 hours per week. At the moment, people come to the centre on average for 4 hours a week.
CDETB Adult Education Guidance Service
You can have a free and confidential meeting with an Adult Education Guidance Counsellor, who can help you plan your next step. They will help you look at:
- All your choices
- Your strengths and abilities
- Your opportunities
- Help you to choose your own learning path
We have information on:
- Courses for adults in your local area
- Full time/part time adult education courses
- Financial and other supports for adult learners
Where are we?
CDETB Adult Education Centre, Barry Rd (opposite the Cappagh Nua Pub (also called Cappagh House or Barry House, which has now closed down) in Finglas West.
We were previously known as St. Joseph’s Senior Traveller Training Centre.
We are beside St. Joseph’s Girls Primary School. There is a 40 bus stop outside.
The 140 stops outside Lidl on St. Margaret’s Rd, which is five minutes’ walk.
It is easy to get to from the N2 –turn left at St. Margaret’s Road roundabout coming from the direction of Finglas village, turn left immediately, then right immediately, then take the third left.
